On the morning of July 29th, under the joint guidance of the Fisheries and Fisheries Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Guangdong Agriculture and Rural Department, and the Agriculture and Rural Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region, sponsored by the Communist Party of China's Shuanghu Committee, the People's Government of Shuanghu County, and the Guangdong Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association, and co organized by the Guangdong Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, Foshan Agriculture and Rural Bureau, Foshan Fishery Industry Association, and Jiujiang Aquatic Products Association of Nanhai District, Foshan, The "Tibet Shuanghu Artemia Egg Supply and Demand Matchmaking Conference" organized by the Jiujiang People's Government of Nanhai District, Foshan City and Guangzhou Global Boyi Exhibition Co., Ltd. was held in Jiujiang Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City. The theme of this negotiation conference is "Hand in Hand and Seek Development", focusing on the comprehensive development and utilization of brine shrimp eggs (hereinafter referred to as "Tibet brine shrimp") in Shuanghu Lake, Tibet, and building a deep cooperation platform for domestic marine fisheries. Li Shumin, a first-class inspector of the Fisheries and Fisheries Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Gao Qingying, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Liang Nanyu, Deputy Secretary General of the Naqu Municipal Committee and Shuanghu County Committee of Tibet, as well as representatives of industry associations, aquatic seedling enterprises, and Tibetan artemia egg brand enterprises, totaling over 180 people were invited to attend the meeting.

It is understood that Artemia, also known as Fengnian Insect, Salt Insect or Fengnian Shrimp. Shuanghu Fengnian shrimp eggs are rich in carotenoids, riboflavin, albumin, unsaturated fat acids and other nutrients, which are excellent full nutrition edible resources. China has abundant resources of artemia, with the main producing areas of artemia eggs being the Northwest Salt Lake and Bohai Bay Sunlight Salt Field. The annual production of finished products reaches 800-1000 tons, accounting for one-third of the world's total production.

Due to the small size and abundant nutrition of brine shrimp eggs, they have always been an important source of nutrition for shrimp fry. The quality of brine shrimp egg products can largely determine the future growth of shrimp fry and fish fry. And the brine shrimp eggs of Shuanghu Lake in Tibet are excellent bait for aquatic fry such as fish, shrimp, and crabs. They have significantly improved the survival rate, immunity, and economic value of finished products of aquatic fry, occupying a place in the brine shrimp market.

The reason why the conference was chosen to be held in Jiujiang is precisely because of the huge market demand for developed aquaculture in Jiujiang. In recent years, Jiujiang Town has fully utilized its developed river water network and beautiful ecological environment advantages to promote the accelerated development of the aquaculture industry. By 2020, the aquaculture area of Jiujiang is approximately 34400 acres, with a total output of 125000 tons and a production value of approximately 3 billion yuan.

Especially California bass and raw fish are the dominant species in Jiujiang, with a large market share. In 2020, the annual production of California bass fry reached 15 billion tails, accounting for approximately 60% of the national production; The annual production of raw fish fry is about 1.5 billion, accounting for 35-40% of the national production.

Li Shumin, a first level inspector of the Fisheries and Fisheries Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, welcomed everyone to participate in the Tibet Shuanghu Artemia Egg Supply and Demand Matchmaking Conference, and introduced the inspection and evaluation experience of Artemia Eggs in Tibet that year. Artemia eggs are used in aquatic fry, such as shrimp, South American white shrimp, and bass. The annual production of South American white shrimp and crayfish is very high, so there is also a high demand for artemia eggs. Nowadays, China's brine shrimp eggs mainly rely on foreign imports. In the context of the current epidemic and the competition among major countries, the import of brine shrimp eggs is affected, and it is imperative for domestic brine shrimp eggs to replace imported brine shrimp eggs. I hope everyone can vigorously purchase brine shrimp eggs from Shuanghu Lake in Tibet to help solve the problem of difficult sales for enterprises and promote the development of fisheries.

At the conference, Professor Sui Liying from the Asian Regional Artemia Reference Center of Tianjin University of Science and Technology gave a keynote speech on "Nutritional Characteristics of Artemia in Tibet and Its Application in Aquatic Breeding"; Professor Sun Shichun from Ocean University of China gave a keynote speech titled "Introduction to Shuanghu Artemia Eggs"; Director Zhang Lining of Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Oceanography delivered a keynote speech on the application of Shuanghu brine shrimp eggs in fish and shrimp fry breeding; Professor Wang Pengfei from Ocean University of China gave a keynote speech on the introduction and related case studies of brine shrimp eggs in Shenghu Shuanghu Lake.
